Get in the best shape of Your Life while making some new friends and learning self defense
Are you looking for something different to do to get you in shape and improve your life? Perhaps you tried Martial Arts when you were younger and you're looking to get back into it. Maybe you were an athlete and have an itch to get back into something fun and competitive, but don't know where to start.
John's Gym Georgetown will help you create a path to success through our martial arts program. We have a great group of members that train here, some train to get in shape, for the camaraderie, and some compete. No matter what you've been through or where you start we will make you better, more effectively than any other Martial Arts facility in Georgetown, TX.
After attending 4 different BJJ gyms, this is by far my favorite. The skill level at this gym is diverse and can be a good fit for veterans and entry level BJJ'ers. The classes are well structured, and there is always a new theme every week or so to keep the class learning new things. The coaches John and Chad are great teachers. Highly Recommend!
We have Classes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA.
"What is that exactly?"
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the most effective form of self defense that teaches you how to fight in a close range and control your opponent. The objective of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is to subdue your opponent through a variety of submission holds and joint locks without hurting your opponent. It's the only style that has been tested and proven where the smaller person can immobilize a bigger person through technique.
It's so effective, Jiu Jitsu is one of the core Martial Arts that Mixed Martial Arts fighters, including those that compete in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), must learn before stepping into the cage. We aren't talking about theory or having you do forms like you may have seen or experienced in other Martial Arts classes, this is what professional fighters rely on, and now you can learn the secrets of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a fun friendly class environment.
Excellent atmosphere, great training and instructors care that you learn and always bring out the very best of you.
