How John's Gym Georgetown Mixed Martial Arts Program Distinguishes Itself From Other Mixed Martial Arts Programs in the Georgetown Texas Area
WHAT OTHERS HAVE TO SAY
One of the things that really sets John’s Gym apart is the team of adolescent coaches who work alongside Coach JJ. They provide one-on-one attention to the younger students, helping them grow their skills and confidence.
Coach JJ also does a fantastic job teaching the importance of effort — making it clear that nothing is given or guaranteed without hard work. We’re so grateful to be part of the John’s Gym community!
The youth program is top-notch, providing a nurturing environment for children to explore their interest in martial arts. For those children inclined towards competition, there is an outstanding program designed to help them excel. Coach JJ demonstrates an exceptional ability to inspire and motivate young ones, assisting them in their journey towards self-improvement.
I joined the adult classes myself two years ago, wishing I had done so sooner. Coach John's tutelage has proven incredibly effective in breaking down complex Jiu-Jitsu techniques into manageable pieces that progressively build upon one another. This approach makes learning enjoyable and accessible for beginners while still challenging advanced practitioners to continue improving their skills.
Overall, I have yet to encounter a gym environment as positive and rewarding as this. If you're seeking a place to grow both physically and mentally, look no further – you will find it here!
Stepping on the mat for the first time can feel intimating, but everyone here remembers what it's like to be a newbie and they do a great job of helping you feel welcome. Why do I train here? 1. It's a great group of people 2. It's fantastic exercise 3. Helps increase your mental focus 4. You learn some good self defense strategies and 5. It's so much FUN!
Ditch the boring workouts and come learn how to defend yourself in a safe family friendly environment.

After attending 4 different BJJ gyms, this is by far my favorite. The skill level at this gym is diverse and can be a good fit for veterans and entry level BJJ'ers. The classes are well structured, and there is always a new theme every week or so to keep the class learning new things. The coaches John and Chad are great teachers. Highly Recommend!

I'm not sure I can accurately express the shift we have seen in Gavin.
He takes his time at Jiu-Jitsu seriously. He knows he has to work hard and smart every minute on the mats. The guidance provided by the coaches is remarkable! It transcends to life off of the mats as well. Thank you!

Nothing but good things to say about the instructors, they are first class. The times are great for working adults, huge plus!
